 The cabinet office

 Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT)

——As the construction management department, responsible for the

supervision and management of elevator certification, installing, acceptance

inspection, regular inspection, etc.

——MLIT authorizes accreditation bodies, inspection bodies and local

special administrative offices to take charge of specific implementation, and

is responsible to the minister of land, transport and communications.

 The Labor Ministry

——As the labor and safety management department, responsible for the

manufacturing license of elevators.

——According to “labor health law” regulation, manufacturing carrying

capacity of more than 1000kg elevator products, need to apply to the labor

ministry for a manufacturing license . 5
